Q & A

1. “What results can I expect to achieve?”

You will…

  • Explore a loaded and difficult topic in a way that makes you feel less isolated and more connected with your partner – even if you have contrasting money behaviors and financial skills.
  • Get financially smart so both of you have a solid understanding of your finances.
  • Stop drowning in debt and start saving for your big dreams and goals.
  • Gain clarity about your financial and lifestyle goals and how you can achieve them.
  • Create a solid financial plan and personal roadmap to success.
  • Stick to your financial priorities and avoid money surprises.
  • Get financially organized through creating simple systems for tracking money so that your money goes where you want it to go.
  • Finally make the financial changes you’ve been saying you want to make.

2. “Since my partner is the one with the money problems they should be the one getting help – not me.” Sure, you’re partner may be the one who overspends or avoids dealing with money, but often our partner’s don’t change entirely on their own.  You can serve as the inspiration to help get your partner back on track.  The only way to truly get financially on track and make real progress is for both of you to go through this process together so you can learn how to talk about money and work TOGETHER as a cooperative team to achieve your financial goals.

3. “I know I need to deal with my financial-stuff, but I don’t want to spend the money – maybe we should just learn about this stuff on our own.” Robert Kyosoki, author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” says that the best money he ever spent was on hiring his own personal coach and taking classes to learn how to manage money and how to generate more money.  People who want to stay poor or middle class focus only on how much something costs, instead of what they stand to gain.  If you are serious about changing your financial situation you must be willing to invest money to get your finances in order and learn how to take proactive steps to achieve your financial goals.

When you make a commitment to getting individualized coaching you are forcing yourselves to look at how many times you’ve wanted to talk about money with your partner, but didn’t.  If you truly want more abundance and prosperity in your life you need to step out of your comfort zone and do something different.  The money that you spend on financial coaching will come back tenfold.

Consider how much money you’ll save in the long run by learning how to get rid of your debt and save more money as a couple, being able to save for retirement and your child’s education and having more connecting and peaceful money conversations.  I’ve had clients and class participants save thousands to tens of thousands of dollars in the first year alone.

4. “I don’t want someone else to tell me how to live and what to do with my money for the next six months.” My coaching programs are designed to teach you and your partner how to make financial decisions as a team. I will teach you a proven step-by-step system for talking about money and achieving your financial goals.  You get to decide what your financial goals are and how you want to achieve them.  This program empowers you and your partner to become a connected, powerful financial team.

Because when it’s all said and done, you and your partner are ultimately the ones who determine your financial success.

5. “I don’t want to share my relationship and financial struggles with a bunch of strangers.” When you sign up for private 1:1 couples coaching you don’t have to worry about sharing your financial information with a bunch of strangers.  You will be sharing in a comfortable, private environment with me as your personal coach and mentor.  If you choose to join the Financial Dating® Financial Freedom Circle you get to decide how much you’re comfortable sharing.

6. “I wonder if my partner and I should just work with a therapist.” While a therapist will be able to help you gain insight into your relationship, they lack the skills and training necessary to assist you in handling your money more effectively as a couple.

The Financial Dating program® is designed to help you work and make progress on many levels.  You will be given tools and exercises designed to help you take an honest look at your limiting beliefs, money behaviors, communication styles, conflict styles and listening skills.  You will also be given financial tools to help you and your partner identify your money roles and personalities, dreams and goals, determine your net worth, track your money, effectively manage your cash flow, pay off debt and save more.
